Middle School ELA Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Delivers engaging and dynamic synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students.

• Dedicated to customizing learning experiences for every student.

• Holds a strong belief in the potential of all students to achieve success and meet high standards.

• Adapts instruction according to each student’s level of mastery.

• Enhances course content in accordance with established policies and procedures, utilizing appropriate asynchronous and synchronous tools under the direction of the principal and coach.

• Manages the grade book to uphold student academic integrity, makes decisions regarding student placement and promotion, and informs administrators of any concerns regarding student performance and progress.

• Prepares students for high-stakes standardized assessments.

• Cultivates and sustains positive relationships with families, ensuring regular communication and timely responses to students and learning coaches/parents.

• Assists learning coaches/parents with student curricular and instructional challenges, as well as basic troubleshooting in a virtual classroom setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree AND

• Active state teaching license AND

• Capability to pass the necessary background check.

• Experience working with the specified age group.

• Experience in providing support to both adults and children in using technology.

• Background in teaching in either an online (virtual) environment or a traditional brick-and-mortar setting.

• Familiarity with online learning platforms.

• Skill in collaborating with fellow educators to analyze and produce numeric, tabular, and graphical representations of student data, utilizing it to inform instructional decisions.

• Open to receiving regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers.

• Capable of embracing change and adjusting methods to ensure exceptional student outcomes.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.

• Commitment to maintaining teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.
