This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and formulate solutions that adhere to engineering standards while addressing business needs.
• Design, implement, and oversee Red Hat OpenShift clusters in both on-premises physical and virtualized environments.
• Assume responsibility for systems engineering projects concerning OpenShift infrastructure.
• Work alongside development teams to containerize applications and refine deployment and release workflows.
• Create and sustain CI/CD pipelines utilizing OpenShift and related DevOps tools.
• Automate operational and deployment processes using Ansible and various scripting tools.
• Conduct patching and upgrades of OpenShift clusters, ArgoCD, GitLab CI, and associated components in accordance with change-management protocols.
• Design, implement, and uphold backup, disaster recovery, and redundancy strategies.
• Engage in on-call/standby rotation to support critical platform and infrastructure services, ensuring service continuity.
• Assist with daily operations, including trend analysis, root cause analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving platform issues to maintain high availability and reliability.
• Enforce and implement security best practices, including RBAC, vulnerability management, and compliance controls.
• Enhance alerting, monitoring, and observability capabilities across OpenShift and associated systems.
• Generate and keep up-to-date documentation, including architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and runbooks.
• Provide knowledge transfer, mentoring, and training to colleagues on OpenShift, GitLab, and related infrastructure technologies.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience or equivalent certifications (including Red Hat OpenShift), with at least 4 years in IT infrastructure or platform engineering.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in deploying, operating, and maintaining OpenShift / Kubernetes platforms in enterprise or on-premises settings.
• Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines, particularly with GitLab CI and/or Jenkins.
• Strong background in Linux system administration, particularly with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), including the design and maintenance of enterprise Linux infrastructure.
• Practical experience in infrastructure automation utilizing Ansible or similar tools.
• Proficient scripting skills in Bash and/or Python for automation and operational tasks.
• Familiarity with GitOps practices and tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.
• Capability to document architectures, configurations, and standards, and to develop and maintain SOPs and technical documentation.
• Upper-intermediate level of English proficiency (both spoken and written).
