Middle Backend Engineer, Golang

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design, maintain, and enhance backend services using Golang, including RESTful APIs and data contracts.

• Implement and support asynchronous, event-driven communications.

• Ensure message reliability, effective error handling, and backward compatibility.

• Contribute to the development of distributed systems and microservices.

• Aid in improving application performance, reliability, and resource utilization.

• Engage in technical discussions and implementation tasks.

• Collaborate through code reviews and participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives.

• Write and uphold unit and integration tests for APIs, business logic, and integrations.

• Create secure APIs and service integrations, adhering to best practices in authentication and authorization.

• Develop integrations with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, ServiceNow, Genesys Cloud, and other external systems.

• Maintain and support integrations between internal services and external enterprise platforms.

• Occasionally assist in enhancing React-based frontend functionalities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer.

• Proven experience in building backend applications and services using Golang.

• Strong understanding of concurrency in Golang and asynchronous workflows.

• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and message handling technologies such as Kafka, NATS, RabbitMQ, or similar.

• Experience with AWS and cloud-native environments.

• Proven track record in developing RESTful APIs and service integrations.

• Understanding of principles related to authentication, authorization, and secure API development.

• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.

• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience in automated testing, including both unit and integration testing.

• Familiarity with React, TypeScript, Protobuf, Azure, or GCP is a plus.

• Knowledge of IAM solutions such as Keycloak, Auth0, or Okta is advantageous.

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Grafana and Prometheus is a benefit.
