Middle AI Agent Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Design and execute agentic features from inception to deployment.

• Develop and sustain agent loops, tool layers, context management, persistence, sub-agent orchestration, observability, and safety mechanisms.

• Establish performance quality benchmarks for agents by creating reference datasets, conducting evaluations, and implementing regression checks.

• Equip agents with appropriate tracing and telemetry, and analyze production behavior through actual execution traces.

• Collaborate directly with client stakeholders to gather and refine requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and ensure alignment on expected results.

• Make informed decisions regarding build versus import when choosing frameworks, tools, and external components.

• Engage in architecture discussions and code reviews, contributing to scalable and production-ready engineering solutions.

• Adapt to various projects and priorities as necessary, taking ownership of deliverables in a dynamic environment with a high level of autonomy.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–3+ years of professional engineering experience.

• Capability to create a tool-using agent loop from the ground up, including tool invocation, structured outputs, stop reasons, concurrent tool usage, and error recovery.

• Strong expertise in context engineering, particularly in writing, selecting, compressing, and isolating data.

• Practical experience with contemporary agent frameworks or SDKs such as LangGraph, Claude Agent SDK, OpenAI Agents SDK, or Pydantic AI.

• Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP).

• Experience in building or enhancing evaluation harnesses, proficient Python and/or TypeScript skills, and Upper-Intermediate English proficiency.
