• Develop and refine memory systems, including allocators, pools, paging/streaming heaps, fragmentation management, lifetime tracking, and out-of-memory safety.
• Construct and optimize I/O and streaming foundations, such as asynchronous file I/O, decompression pipelines, asset streaming, prioritization, bandwidth/latency management, and patch-friendly layouts.
• Enhance CPU performance and scalability through job systems, thread scheduling, contention reduction, cache/memory locality, frame-time stability, and hitch reduction.
• Integrate and sustain platform SDK-facing code and abstraction layers, ensuring distinct boundaries between platform-specific and cross-platform systems.
• Profile and optimize using both platform and internal tools, such as CPU sampling, memory trackers, I/O traces, and performance capture tools, to identify bottlenecks and regressions.
• Collaborate with gameplay, rendering, audio, and content teams to establish budgets, best practices, and guidelines that maintain build performance and stability.
• Contribute to tools and workflows that enhance developer efficiency, including profiling hooks, telemetry, regression tests, automated reporting, and validation checks.
