This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Each day, you will tackle intricate technical problems, prioritizing rapid delivery and ongoing value generation.
• Develop technical solutions while ensuring quality, readability, and compliance with the standards set by the team, aiding in the creation of scalable, secure, and sustainable systems.
• Plan and carry out your deliveries with a level of autonomy that reflects your experience, remaining aligned with the team's priorities to guarantee predictability and reliability in meeting commitments.
• Take ownership of production systems: monitor errors, resolve bugs, and work collaboratively to maintain the technical health of applications, including asynchronous jobs and queues.
• Actively engage in refinement sessions, technical discussions, and planning meetings, contributing ideas, identifying technical risks, and assisting in breaking down tasks into clear, actionable steps.
• Commit to continuous learning through feedback, code reviews, and initiatives aimed at improvement, showcasing technical development and increasing independence in problem-solving.
• Collaborate with the team during the technical exploration of new requirements, suggesting simple and efficient alternatives that align with existing architecture while steering clear of unnecessarily complex solutions.
• Foster transparent and respectful communication within the team, sharing context, articulating questions clearly, and contributing to a collaborative, high-trust environment.
• Ruby on Rails: hands-on experience with Rails, adhering to best practices for code organization, framework conventions, and domain-driven design patterns.
• Software Architecture: understanding of system design, modularization, and RESTful APIs.
• Software Engineering Practices: knowledge of SOLID principles, design patterns, code reviews, automated testing, refactoring, and version control (Git).
• Ruby Programming: expertise in modern Ruby, capable of writing expressive, readable, and well-tested code.
• Background Jobs and Asynchronous Processing: experience with asynchronous processing queues using Sidekiq, including worker creation, retries, and job monitoring.
• Development Lifecycle: participation in the delivery process (technical discovery, refinements, QA, and deployment), demonstrating increasing autonomy at each stage.
• Databases: familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), including data modeling and query writing.
• Proven track record as a software engineer involved in the development and maintenance of backend systems in production.
• Active involvement in digital product projects that deliver substantial contributions to scalable, highly available systems.
• Practical experience with Ruby on Rails, building and maintaining backend applications in a production environment.
• Knowledge of API design, relational data modeling, and service integration.
• Experience working in agile teams, collaborating with PMs, designers, and other engineers to create product-oriented solutions.
• Basic understanding of version control and CI/CD tools, along with knowledge of deployment environments and application monitoring.
