Mid-Level QA Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API applications.

• Plan, prepare, and execute functional, regression, exploratory, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies.

• Define acceptance criteria and refine stories in collaboration with Product and Development teams, promoting Shift-Left Testing.

• Utilize AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and GitHub Copilot to generate test scenarios, create automation scripts, produce technical documentation, mock test data, and investigate complex failures.

• Automate RESTful API tests, ensuring validation of contracts, business rules, and system integration integrity.

• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to facilitate continuous, secure delivery and rapid feedback.

• Conduct Root Cause Analysis of defects identified in development, staging, and production environments.

• Collaborate with Backend, Frontend, Product, and DevOps teams to uphold product quality.

• Contribute to the definition and evolution of quality metrics, test coverage, automation stability, and productivity indicators.

• Foster a culture of quality and best practices in testing, automation, and software engineering.

⛳️ Requirements

• Approximately 3 years or more of experience as a QA Analyst, Test Analyst, or Software Quality Engineer.

• Strong experience in test automation and validation of web applications and APIs.

• Experience in agile environments utilizing Scrum, Kanban, or similar methodologies.

• Practical knowledge of modern test automation tools, preferably Cypress and Playwright.

• Proficiency in programming languages for automation: TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, and Java.

• Extensive experience testing RESTful APIs using Postman, Insomnia, RestAssured, or Supertest.

• Familiarity with writing scenarios using BDD and Gherkin.

• Understanding of Git and version-control strategies, including GitFlow, Feature Branches, and Pull Requests.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.

• Capability to implement automated tests within development pipelines.

• Experience with functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing strategies.

• AI-First mindset, leveraging Artificial Intelligence tools to enhance productivity, automation, and quality assurance.

• Enthusiasm for new technologies, automation, Artificial Intelligence, and Software Quality trends.

• Ability to analyze complex scenarios, identify risks, investigate failures, interpret evidence, and propose solutions.

• Capability to work independently at a mid-level.

• Initiative to enhance tools, processes, and testing strategies.

• Ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams and build strong relationships across Technology, Product, Data, and Business.

• Skill in communicating technical issues clearly and objectively.

• Proficiency in documenting processes, reporting defects, and sharing knowledge with both technical and non-technical audiences.
