This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and launch our mobile application: Deliver real builds to clients via TestFlight, ensuring alignment with our web dashboard's individual view for protection status, family coverage, and reports.
• Establish the technical framework: Collaborate with our web and security leaders to define the app's architecture and assess how much of the current codebase and design system can be utilized.
• Create impactful experiences: Implement push notifications from start to finish, allowing clients to receive alerts about exposure events that they can respond to with a single tap.
• Integrate anti-smishing features: Incorporate our standalone smishing and verification-code protection into the mobile application.
• Ensure release management and reliability: Set up the build, release, and crash-reporting pipeline.
• Collaborate across teams: Work closely with product, design, and security teams to transform objectives into delivered features.
• 4+ years of experience in mobile app development: You have successfully launched and maintained applications that real users engage with, through both the App Store and TestFlight.
• Proficient in native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin): You have developed and released native mobile applications and possess a deep understanding of the platform, beyond just using a cross-platform wrapper.
• Experience in production mobile environments: You are adept at managing push notifications, background tasks, and addressing mobile issues that arise in the field, not just following the ideal scenarios.
• Ownership mindset: You are at ease taking responsibility for a codebase from its architecture to releases and testing, documenting the decisions made along the way.
• Security-focused engineering: You handle sensitive data with care and consider security as an integral part of the development process, rather than as a post-development review.
• Nice to have:
• - Experience with React Native / Expo.
• - Familiarity with device security signals, MDM, or integrations such as password managers and identity verification tools.
• - Comfort in making product and UX/UI decisions.
• - Understanding of build and distribution systems for internal iOS applications.
• - Experience in sharing a web and mobile codebase and the challenges that arise from it.
• - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
• Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
• Flexible work hours and remote work options.
• Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
• Generous paid time off and holiday schedule.
