This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the management of grants and cooperative agreements throughout the entire award lifecycle, from the review of applications to the closeout process.
• Help monitor recipients' adherence to the terms, conditions, and relevant federal regulations governing financial assistance (2 CFR 200).
• Aid in the preparation of award documentation, modifications, and closeout packages.
• Support the evaluation of recipient financial and performance reports for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Assist in conducting risk assessments of grant recipients and ensure follow-up on any necessary corrective actions.
• Collaborate with acquisition, financial, and program personnel regarding inquiries on financial assistance policies and processes.
• Contribute to the DOI IBC-AQD Mission Support Services.
• A bachelor's degree with 3–5 years of experience in federal grants or financial assistance management, or 8 years of directly relevant experience in place of a degree.
• Capability to obtain and sustain a Moderate Risk Public Trust determination.
• U.S. citizenship is required to support this federal contract.
• Direct experience in the administration of federal grants, cooperative agreements, or other financial assistance mechanisms.
• Familiarity with 2 CFR 200 (Uniform Guidance) and relevant financial assistance regulations.
• Experience in reviewing financial and performance reports from recipients.
• Preferred experience with a federal grants management system (e.g., GrantSolutions, ASAP, or similar platforms).
• Certified Grants Management Specialist (CGMS) or a similar credential is preferred.
• Preferred experience supporting a DOI bureau, IBC, or another civilian agency financial assistance office.
