Financial Operations Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete accounts payable process, ensuring vendor payments are precise and timely across Shaper and its portfolio companies.

• Manage customer invoicing and provide support for collections, ensuring that no details are overlooked.

• Prepare wire transfers and organize them clearly for leadership's approval.

• Serve as the primary contact for vendors with payment inquiries, ensuring prompt responses.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records across various systems, ensuring reliable sources of truth.

• Identify areas where processes may be inefficient or cumbersome, proactively taking steps to improve them instead of merely pointing them out.

• Assist with equity issuance.

• Oversee payroll cycles.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets, and comfortable with accounting systems or ERP tools.

• Detail-oriented, with a strong focus on accuracy and a high level of responsiveness.

• Quick learner who executes tasks efficiently and adapts rapidly; possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and thrives in zero-to-one environments.

• Ability to clearly dissect problems, communicate actionable insights, and act without waiting for permission.

• Maintains a low ego and high ownership; delves into details while keeping a strategic perspective.

• Thrives in fast-paced, early-stage settings.

• Bonus: 2+ years of experience in accounting, finance operations, AP/AR, or bookkeeping (or a related degree).
