Mid-Level Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct cost and price analysis to support pre-award acquisition efforts

• Independently assess and confirm contractor invoices

• Address invoice discrepancies in collaboration with acquisition and program personnel

• Monitor and report on budget execution status in relation to obligations and expenditures

• Create financial summaries and briefing documents for Government stakeholders

• Assist with contract modifications and closeout processes from a financial analysis viewpoint

• Help develop and sustain financial tracking tools and dashboards

• Provide support for DOI IBC-AQD Mission Support Services

• Offer direct assistance to acquisition and contract administration efforts

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field, along with 3-5 years of relevant experience, or 8 years of directly applicable experience in lieu of a degree

• Capability to obtain and maintain a Moderate Risk Public Trust determination

• U.S. citizenship is required to support this federal contract

• Proven experience with federal budget execution, cost/price analysis, or invoice review

• Advanced skills in MS Excel

• Experience in creating financial tracking tools

• Background in preparing financial reports for Government or executive audiences

• Familiarity with federal financial management systems and reporting tools is preferred

• Experience directly supporting a DOI or other civilian agency finance office is preferred

• Experience assisting acquisition teams with cost/price analysis during source selection is preferred
