This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Support the development, design, testing, and enhancement initiatives within the Agency’s Drupal content management system.
• Develop and modify Drupal content types as needed.
• Revise menus and information architecture to facilitate menu creation.
• Optimize the Drupal environment and incorporate third-party tools like Qualtrics.
• Establish and manage user roles, permissions, and workflows.
• Integrate modules into the Drupal environment according to customer specifications.
• Create responsive layouts suitable for tablet and mobile devices.
• Assess and resolve website accessibility concerns.
• Conduct functional and automated quality assurance testing for performance and integrations.
• Design and refresh homepages, landing pages, and other content types following UX best practices.
• Apply application-level security patches and address any application vulnerabilities.
• Execute both minor and major upgrades to the Drupal CMS.
• Produce technical documentation for the solutions developed.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Software Engineering.
• Over 5 years of experience in Drupal Development.
• Proficiency in module development and customization, including views, rules, and custom core configuration.
• Knowledge of theming, Twig templating, and web design principles.
• Solid understanding of Drupal APIs, such as Hooks, Services, and Events.
• Back-end experience with MySQL/MariaDB, query optimization, and Drupal’s entity system.
• Front-end experience with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design.
• Familiarity with version control tools and repositories, including Git and GitHub.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevSecOps practices.
• Proven experience working as part of project teams.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Highly organized individual.
