Mid-Level DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, implement, and support automation solutions for infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools.

• Provide operational support for global DevOps platforms and self-service automation, ensuring optimal availability and performance.

• Implement and sustain infrastructure security controls, including OS hardening, patch management, and secure configuration practices.

• Identify manual operational processes and create automation solutions, while maintaining and refactoring existing code.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, adhere to change management and coding standards, and produce comprehensive documentation to facilitate alignment and knowledge sharing.

• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure the availability and reliability of production servers and applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience with DevOps practices and infrastructure automation within enterprise environments.

• Proficiency in Linux administration (Red Hat, SUSE) and Windows Server administration.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.

• Scripting/programming expertise in Bash, PowerShell, YAML, and Python.

• Experience with CI/CD tools, for instance, Jenkins.

• Acquaintance with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP.

• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies.

• Skills in server provisioning, patch management, and OS security hardening.

• Proficiency in monitoring, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.

• Knowledge of version control systems including Git and Bitbucket.

• Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum) and ITIL-based operations.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation abilities.

• Advanced English language skills and availability to travel to São Carlos/SP when necessary.
