Mid-level Developer – Magento Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Ensure the growth, stability, and performance of the e-commerce platform by developing and maintaining backend solutions in Magento.

• Collaborate to enhance code quality and infrastructure on a continuous basis.

• Provide support for the platform in production, addressing bug fixes and performance enhancements.

• Engage in code reviews, incorporating and implementing technical feedback.

• Contribute to existing integrations (ERPs, custom payment methods, anti-fraud) under technical supervision.

• Work on CI/CD pipelines: building, deploying, automating, and troubleshooting environments.

• Assist with the configuration and upkeep of environments (staging, production), containers, and infrastructure services.

• Diagnose infrastructure and application incidents (indexers, OpenSearch, cache, queues, PHP-FPM, Nginx) with team support.

• Monitor the platform using Grafana and Sentry, identifying alerts and unusual patterns.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• Over 3 years of experience with Magento 2, Adobe Commerce, and/or Magento Community.

• Strong proficiency in modern PHP (8.x), best practices, design patterns, and SOLID principles.

• Understanding of REST and GraphQL APIs within the Magento context.

• Proficiency in MySQL/MariaDB, Redis, and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch.

• Experience with Docker and containerized environments.

• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar).

• Familiarity with Linux administration, Nginx, and PHP-FPM.

• Competence in Git, branching workflows, and code review methodologies.

• Nice to have: familiarity with observability tools (Grafana, Sentry, structured logging).

• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible) and orchestration (Kubernetes).

• Understanding of RabbitMQ and asynchronous queue processing.

• Awareness of e-commerce security practices (OWASP Top 10, hardening).

• Experience with automations and integrations (n8n, Zapier, or similar).

• Experience in high-transaction-volume environments.
