Mid-level Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee and enhance the team's microservices, prioritizing stability and performance.

• Analyze and resolve technical challenges within microservices, encompassing messaging, scheduling, and inter-service communication.

• Diagnose production errors related to GCP services, networking, and system integrations.

• Create and uphold service and API integrations, ensuring both consistency and scalability.

• Implement automated tests as part of deliverables, utilizing AI tools to expedite development and improve coverage.

• Review and approve AI-generated code prior to its deployment in production.

• Maintain documentation and service context accessible to both team members and AI agents.

• Engage in the development of generative AI solutions.

• Participate in code reviews, technical enhancements, and architecture discussions.

• Collaborate with the team during agile ceremonies and pair programming sessions.

• Share insights and contribute to the collective technical advancement of the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.

• Proficiency in Python for backend development and microservices.

• Experience with messaging systems (RabbitMQ or Kafka) or asynchronous task orchestration (Celery, APScheduler, Faust, or Twisted).

• Hands-on experience in production environments, including troubleshooting and technical incident analysis.

• Experience in writing automated tests.

• Daily utilization of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, or similar.

• Capability to critically assess AI-generated code.

• Familiarity with monitoring and maintaining cloud systems.

• Ability to document technical decisions in a remote and asynchronous work setting.

• Experience with agentic AI is an advantage.

• Familiarity with Scrapy or Playwright is a plus.

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.

• Background in generative AI, LLMs, RAG, ADK, LangChain, or prompt engineering is a plus.

• Experience with messaging and task orchestration is a plus.

• Experience with large-scale messaging and complex integrations is a plus.
