Microsoft Fabric, Power BI Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sri Lanka.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and analyze the current Microsoft Fabric environment, offering recommendations for optimization and enhancement.

• Design, develop, and execute processes for data ingestion, transformation, and modeling within Microsoft Fabric.

• Create and manage Power BI reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions that align with business goals.

• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and deliver high-impact business use cases.

• Assist in the development of data architecture standards, governance frameworks, and best practices.

• Incorporate additional data sources into the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.

• Discover opportunities to utilize Microsoft Copilot and AI capabilities within the data platform.

• Offer technical guidance and strategic insights regarding Microsoft Fabric features, capabilities, and future roadmap possibilities.

• Generate and maintain documentation, including solution designs, data flows, and implementation methodologies.

• Support platform administration, optimization efforts, and knowledge transfer initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.

• Extensive expertise in Power BI development, dashboard creation, and reporting solutions.

• Experience in designing and implementing data engineering, ETL/ELT, and data modeling solutions.

• Strong SQL skills with experience in modern data platforms.

• Comprehensive understanding of data warehousing, analytics, and reporting best practices.

• Capability to gather business requirements and convert them into scalable technical solutions.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Desirable Experience:

• Familiarity with Azure Data Services.

• Knowledge of Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and OneLake architectures.

• Experience integrating Microsoft Copilot capabilities into analytics environments.

• Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.

• Exposure to AI-enabled analytics and self-service reporting solutions.

• Previous consulting or advisory experience.
