This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Analyze bid specifications and architectural drawings to gain a comprehensive understanding of project requirements.
• Conduct a thorough examination of all drawings and specifications to identify potential discrepancies or areas needing further clarification. Maintain ongoing communication with relevant teams to ensure full comprehension.
• Collaborate with District Sales Managers and Project Managers to deliver the necessary technical and pricing support needed to secure projects.
• Prepare and present detailed quotes and contract forms, clearly defining the scope of work, exclusions, and qualifications.
• Participate in design reviews, cost evaluations, and scope assessments to ensure alignment with project objectives and company standards.
• Obtain and assess buy-outs from subcontractors and vendors, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all project aspects.
• Keep informed about industry trends and technological advancements, contributing to the continual enhancement of estimating practices.
• High School diploma or equivalent; some college education is preferred.
• Prior experience in the Metal Building Industry is essential.
• Detail-oriented in reviewing and interpreting project documents.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and inquiries professionally.
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team, promoting a collaborative atmosphere.
• Motivated by a goal-oriented work philosophy, committed to surpassing company and departmental objectives.
• Availability to work additional hours as necessary to meet business needs.
• Exhibits a proactive approach towards personal and professional development.
• Proficiency in Metal Building Software (MBS) is required.
• Strong skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Solid foundational knowledge in fractions, decimals, and basic geometry.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Skilled in identifying exclusions or qualifications in project specifications.
• Comfortable drafting contractual language to clearly define the scope of work.
