This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Facilitate the alignment of business processes with PLM functionalities and capabilities.
• Manage the deployment and enhancement of PLM tools, including, but not limited to, Siemens Teamcenter, Easy Plan, Manufacturing Process Planner (MPP), Teamcenter Quality, and BCT Inspector.
• Lead the integration of PLM solutions with other business systems such as ERP, MES, and CAD to create a cohesive digital thread across the organization.
• Serve as the subject matter expert in Teamcenter Business Modeler IDE, guiding the configuration and customization of workflows, data models, and process automation to enhance manufacturing operations.
• Keep abreast of the latest manufacturing trends, including Industry 4.0, additive manufacturing, automation, and digital twins, and pinpoint opportunities to incorporate these technologies into our PLM processes.
• Convert customer requirements into solution designs.
• Engage in technical and functional problem-solving.
• Manage tasks with a rigorous follow-up approach.
• Achieve all budget, deliverable, and scheduling objectives.
• Provide production and end-user support for PLM Process Planning solutions.
• Assist in the integration with other enterprise solutions.
• Collaborate with internal customers and external suppliers, business partners, to design and implement system solutions utilizing the latest technologies to meet requirements.
• Oversee suppliers and partners to coordinate and update resources necessary for solution development and implementation.
• Handle multiple projects concurrently with regular updates in a gated process.
• Author and/or contribute to system functional requirements, technical design documentation, and test plans.
• Ensure adherence to RTX / PW policies and procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of experience in Computer Science, MIS, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline; OR an Advanced Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of experience in Computer Science, MIS, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• U.S. Citizenship is required (due to Government contractual requirements).
• 3+ years of experience in PLM disciplines, including, but not limited to, process planning and authoring.
• Comprehensive understanding of Teamcenter PLM authoring and process planning (EasyPlan & MPP).
• Knowledge of other manufacturing solutions (Solumina and OpCenter).
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications.
• Capacity to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals and convey functional requirements to technical developers.
• Quick to learn existing system capabilities and structures.
• Previous experience in software development (C#, .NET, JAVA, SQL, etc.) is a plus, although development is not a primary responsibility.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and proficient at tracing problems.
• Strong communication skills.
• Team-oriented with excellent follow-up abilities and the capability to build positive relationships.
• Demonstrates sound judgment and professional business maturity.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Exceptional communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
