Merit Grant Application Reviewer – Temporary

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough, consistent, and independent assessments of grant applications based on established criteria.

• Perform reviews with impartiality, objectivity, and without any bias.

• Assess proposals for their value, quality, and likelihood of achieving success.

• Review applications related to broadband deployment and adoption on Tribal Land.

• Evaluate programs that promote broadband access for remote learning, telework, or telehealth resources.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient reviews and adherence to strict deadlines.

• Implement quality assurance practices to enhance task completion and accuracy.

• Participate in all mandatory training sessions provided by the project team.

• Be available to conduct reviews from mid-December 2026 through spring 2027.

• Disclose any conflicts of interest prior to performing merit reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.

• A minimum of 5 years in consulting or directly relevant industry experience.

• Technical knowledge and at least 2 years of experience in one or more pertinent areas.

• Experience with the deployment of fiber, wireless, satellite, or similar telecommunications technology, or broadband network design/engineering.

• Background in distance learning, telehealth, telework, workforce development, or digital inclusion program design/implementation, or related technical expertise.

• Must be a U.S. citizen.

• Capability to pass public trust clearance or suitability requirements.

• Ability to disclose and avoid any real or perceived conflicts of interest.

• Availability for reviews from mid-December 2026 through spring 2027.

• Knowledge of financial assistance programs and grants administration is preferred.

• Experience with Native American, Alaska Native, or Native Hawaiian communities is also preferred.
