This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create detailed sales and inventory strategies for various product categories
• Act as the main point of contact between merchandising, operations, and finance departments
• Oversee inventory planning projects and develop forecasting methods
• Manage merchandise planning across multiple product categories and support category performance
• Handle the assortment inventory of diamonds and gemstones
• Spearhead inventory planning for new showroom openings and business ventures
• Set parameters for weeks-of-supply, safety-stock, and reorder points
• Enhance inventory efficiency and minimize excess while ensuring service level maintenance
• Coordinate cross-functional inventory assessments and align action plans
• Lead weekly forecasting efforts to ascertain inventory requirements across various channels
• Assist in monthly Open-To-Buy procedures and convert financial plans into purchasing strategies
• Formulate sales forecasts, strategic inventory frameworks, scenario analyses, and data-informed purchasing recommendations
• Create analytical frameworks and models to assess business performance
• Guarantee the precision of analyses, reports, insights, forecasts, and inventory planning objectives
• Conduct intricate statistical analyses for the Planning and Merchandising teams
• Report directly to the Associate Director of Merchandise Planning
• BA degree or equivalent, preferred
• 5+ years of experience in quantitative analysis, inventory planning, and/or forecasting within a retail, product, or e-commerce environment
• Experience with attribute-based or commodity inventory planning is highly advantageous
• Familiarity with allocation or store planning is beneficial
• Proficient in Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, financial modeling, and management of extensive datasets
• Experience with Planning and Reporting software; familiarity with Domo, NetSuite, or similar tools is a plus
• Strong time management skills and a focus on process enhancement
• Possess critical thinking, adaptability, collaboration, and a self-initiated approach
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
