This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee merchandise planning across various product categories and contribute to category performance.
• Navigate the intricate challenges of fine jewelry inventory, including the management of diamond and gemstone assortments.
• Spearhead strategic inventory planning for new showroom openings and business initiatives.
• Define inventory parameters such as weeks of supply, safety stock, and reorder thresholds.
• Discover opportunities to enhance inventory productivity and minimize excess while sustaining service levels.
• Engage in and lead cross-functional meetings to assess inventory positions and align on action plans.
• Drive the weekly forecasting process to establish suitable inventory levels across various channels.
• Support the Open-To-Buy (OTB) process by translating financial plans into actionable purchasing strategies through a monthly OTB framework and collaborating on category Open-To-Buy alignment across teams.
• Work together with the merchandising team to create and uphold detailed sales forecasts, strategic inventory plans, dynamic scenario models, and data-driven buying recommendations to optimize product assortment and enhance profitability.
• Develop scenario planning models to assess potential business impacts and contingencies.
• Create comprehensive analytics frameworks and models to evaluate business performance metrics.
• Ensure the precision of analysis, reporting, insights, forecasts, and the attainment of inventory plans/goals.
• Conduct complex statistical analyses to assist Planning and Merchandising teams.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
• Over 5 years of experience in quantitative analysis, inventory planning, and/or forecasting within a retail, product, or e-commerce setting.
• Familiarity with attribute-based or commodity inventory planning (e.g., precious metals, gemstones, or other specification-driven categories) is a significant advantage.
• Experience in allocation or store planning is a plus.
• Advanced Excel capabilities, including complex formulas, pivot tables, financial modeling, and effective management of large datasets for inventory and sales analysis.
• Proficiency with Planning and Reporting software; experience with Domo, NetSuite, or similar platforms is beneficial.
