Mental Health Group Facilitator – MI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Fulfill all Onboarding obligations within two weeks from your start date.

• Schedule a monthly check-in with your designated Charlie Health Group Quality Supervisor or Group Quality Director.

• Respond to all email and Slack communications in a timely manner (within 48 hours of receipt).

• Familiarize yourself with the curriculum that corresponds to your group assignment prior to the commencement of group sessions.

• Arrive approximately 10 minutes early for scheduled group sessions and lead all groups for the full hour.

• Conduct groups in accordance with Charlie Health best practices, utilizing the most current curriculum provided.

• Lead groups across various age ranges and cohorts, including Integrative curriculum, Support Staffing, and Wellness Hour as necessary.

• Promote client engagement and group cohesion during sessions, encouraging active participation and a camera-on culture.

• Adhere to all operational policies and procedures as outlined by Charlie Health best practices.

• Engage in collaborative Treatment Team meetings (Tuesdays) and Group Supervision (every other Friday) with your assigned Charlie Health Group Quality Supervisor or Group Quality Director, colleagues, and other members of the Clinical Leadership team.

• Collaborate respectfully with the care team, including Primary Therapists, Care Experience Specialists, and Care Coaches.

• Maintain clear, professional, and timely communication with all clients, staff, families, agencies, and referrals.

• Ensure your treatment documentation is completed within the required 24-hour timeframe and complies with agency and professional standards set by DHCS and The Joint Commission.

• Uphold and exemplify professional ethics, including appropriate boundaries and confidentiality.

• Perform other assigned duties as required.


⛳️ Requirements

• Availability required during late afternoons and evenings on weekdays (3-8pm MT from Monday to Thursday) and on Saturdays to accommodate our adolescent and young adult clients.

• A Master’s degree in mental health or a related field is mandatory (refer below for the complete list).

• Experience working with youth and young adults.

• Proficiency in a range of therapeutic modalities and confidence in integrating them into your treatment approach (DBT, CBT, EMDR, and MI certification is advantageous).

• Enthusiastic about the advantages of group therapy and adept at facilitating group sessions.

• Ability to function effectively within a team setting.

• Creative and engaging, particularly in a virtual environment!

• Technical capability to conduct effective telehealth sessions.

• Stable WIFI connection for client meetings.

• Familiarity with and willingness to utilize cloud-based communication tools—Gmail, Slack, Zoom, Dropbox—along with EMR and outcomes survey software on a daily basis.

• This is a part-time 1099 position.
