Mental Health Customer Service Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Accountable for coordinating testing services for patients by evaluating test request forms and accompanying documentation submitted with a patient specimen to ensure testing is accurate and timely.

• Collaborating with healthcare providers to finalize the necessary documentation and sample submissions.

• Verifying insurance eligibility and benefit levels.

• Engaging with patients to clarify insurance coverage benefits and provide information regarding tests, including procedures and turnaround times.

• The employee will spend approximately 60-80% of their time on the phone.

• Independently oversee assigned tasks while meeting production and quality metrics.

• Serve as a central point of contact across all departments: collaborate with technology, revenue cycle, field sales, and lab teams for efficient order processing and billing procedures.

• Recognize issues and trends, collaborating with your team and leadership to establish best practices that ensure optimal service and experience for all customers.

• Engage in the Quality Assurance plan.

• Adhere to relevant CLIA and HIPAA regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent is required, along with at least 1 year of relevant experience, or an associate or bachelor’s degree.

• Proficiency in Spanish is preferred and encouraged.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

• Preference will be given to applicants with a higher net typing speed.

• Strong listening, transcribing, and self-review skills.

• Proficient in PC usage, including knowledge of Excel, Word, the Internet, and email.

• Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously, often under pressure.

• Outstanding organizational and task management skills along with professional judgment.

• Enjoys solving problems and recognizing patterns.
