Membership Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and develop reports and dashboards in Microsoft Power BI to highlight trends, patterns, and insights for informed decision-making based on data.

• Create, update, and enhance data models and dashboards utilizing Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.

• Establish AI-assisted analytics functionalities for natural language exploration of enterprise data models and reports.

• Conduct data analysis to guide business intelligence strategy and enhance understanding of member engagement and associated revenue.

• Generate ad hoc data reports utilizing SQL, Excel, and SharePoint.

• Collaborate with integrated data for survey analysis, email marketing lists, and initiatives aimed at data quality.

• Investigate and authenticate data pipelines and integrations via Microsoft Fabric medallion architecture.

• Design, create, and uphold data models and SQL schema artifacts.

• Develop agentic AI interfaces for analytics report creation, application code evaluation, and SQL performance enhancement.

• Oversee and maintain Microsoft Fabric data pipelines to guarantee the availability and accuracy of membership engagement data.

• Create new data sources and ingestion pipelines.

• Work with stakeholders to convert business requirements into data products.

• Negotiate and document project scope, risks, and assumptions.

• Communicate project scope, timelines, updates, and modifications to relevant stakeholders.

• Identify opportunities for improvement and provide recommendations based on insights from member data.

• Support process enhancements in alignment with association objectives.

• Address data support tickets within a 24-hour timeframe.

• Engage in EDUCAUSE events and activities as necessary.

• Offer backup support for colleagues in Enterprise Data Management.

• No supervisory duties are required.

⛳️ Requirements

• A resume and cover letter are mandatory.

• 3-5 years of professional experience with SQL databases, including schema design, dynamic data views, data definitions, and query development for reporting and analysis.

• Advanced expertise in SQL.

• 2-5 years of experience in Microsoft Power BI, including data analysis, model development, and business intelligence dashboard/report design.

• 2-5 years of experience in data collection, preparation, transformation, modeling, reporting, and analysis.

• Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and other software languages and platforms for data analysis, interpretation, and secure sharing.

• Proven communication skills to connect business stakeholders with technical teams.

• Strong understanding of association-related business processes and operations, particularly in Membership, Marketing, and Finance data.

• Capability to identify issues, propose solutions, and collaborate actively in problem-solving efforts.

• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies and technical skills.

• Scheduled working hours must align with the employee's time zone or EDUCAUSE core working hours.

• Availability and responsiveness during assigned work hours are essential.
