Member Advocate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Address inquiries from members and resolve their issues

• Assist members in finding the necessary information and clarify medical and dental package details

• Deliver outstanding service in a dynamic, unscripted service center setting

• Engage in calls with members for a majority of the week

• Allocate scheduled time for learning, development, and research activities

• Foster career advancement and personal development

• Take part in phased onboarding training for new hires

• Create an ergonomically sound and distraction-free remote work environment

• Attend trainings and meetings via video

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory

• Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience

• Regular communication with customers via phone, email, and/or in-person (at least 60% of the time)

• Strong comfort level and familiarity with technology

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

• Capability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and software

• Must be located in the Eastern Standard Time zone

• Ability to frequently communicate and use a headset during member calls

• Capability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer

• Ability to operate in a distraction-free environment

• Must comply with BCBSMA's Hybrid Working Guidelines

• Experience in fast-paced, unscripted, service-oriented environments is highly preferred

• Bilingual skills are highly desirable
