This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Develop written content for a diverse array of medical communication projects that align with company standards for grammar, scientific precision, and client goals. These outputs will encompass abstracts, scientific posters, manuscripts, slide presentations, medical affairs materials, and more.
• Take initiative to ensure the timely delivery of assigned tasks within budget constraints and according to established deadlines.
• Confidently and appropriately interact with clients and external thought leaders to facilitate the seamless execution of assigned projects.
• Analyze and integrate feedback from both internal and external reviews, ensuring consistency, scientific accuracy, and adherence to industry regulations.
• Ensure that all pertinent information is communicated with both editorial and client services team members.
• Maintain (or acquire) knowledge of the therapeutic area, competitors, new products, and emerging indications for relevant accounts.
• Support the client services team by proactively discussing any alterations in project specifications or deadlines that could affect project budgets and financial projections.
• Track and monitor actual versus budgeted time on personal projects, accurately complete timesheets, and submit them punctually to the line manager, relevant client services lead(s), and finance department on a weekly basis.
• Stay informed about industry self-regulation and compliance standards, as well as client Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and uphold good working practices at all times.
• A degree in life sciences, preferably complemented by a master's degree or PhD in a scientific field.
• Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and its processes.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Capable of multitasking and working independently in a dynamic agency environment.
• Eagerness and ability to learn about new therapy areas and medical conditions as needed.
• Proactive in sharing updates, statuses, ideas, and feedback with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Outlook) and Adobe software.
