Medical Writer – Oncology Publications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and modify materials for diverse audiences, including presentations, digital content, manuscripts, conference publications, and meeting documentation.

• Produce high-quality, client-ready initial drafts for scientific evaluation.

• Conduct content research, ensure technical precision, and critically assess and revise work.

• Integrate feedback accurately and consistently.

• Complete written materials within designated project timeframes.

• Execute data verification in accordance with BOLD protocols.

• Stay updated on scientific advancements and share pertinent knowledge with internal teams and clients.

• Work adaptively across various client accounts, deliverables, and therapeutic areas.

• Engage actively in client calls and internal status updates.

• Provide on-site or virtual assistance for meetings and events under senior supervision.

• Collaborate with clients, client services, the studio, and the broader BOLD team.

• Guide new Associate Medical Writers.

• Manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, adhere to deadlines, and communicate project progress.

• Maintain precise timesheets and operate within allocated hours.


⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience in the medical communications field (or a related area).

• Strong writing abilities.

• Advanced degree in a relevant discipline (PhD, MD, PharmD, etc.).

• 1–3 years of experience in medical writing (ideally within a medical communications agency).

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a strong enthusiasm for creativity.

• Capability to adhere to deadlines and manage several projects simultaneously.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Ability to research and cultivate scientific knowledge within a specific therapeutic area.

• Familiarity with at least one product and key experts within a designated therapeutic domain.

• Proficiency in accurately performing data verification.

• Ability to manage allocated hours, maintain 85–90% billability, and accurately and promptly complete timesheets.
