Medical Writer, Medical Communications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and modify scientific materials, including presentations, manuscripts, training resources, and various deliverables.

• Analyze clinical and preclinical data, translating results into clear, precise written content and visual formats.

• Utilize AMA style and adhere to client-specific guidelines.

• Conduct literature reviews and manage reference organization.

• Engage in internal and client meetings, documenting notes and action items.

• Integrate feedback from both internal and external reviewers.

• Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders effectively.

• Achieve and maintain an 85% billable utilization target.

• Acquire knowledge of and adhere to team standards, SOPs, processes, and necessary software tools.

• Monitor tasks, timelines, file transfers, and time management using suitable tools.

• Enhance efficiency and deliver outputs within allocated hours.

• Collaborate on materials intended for regulatory and editorial scrutiny.

• Review SOPs, develop an understanding of team roles, gather feedback, and prepare for time off through effective planning and delegation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Doctoral-level degree in life sciences (PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent).

• Strong passion for medical writing and scientific communication.

• Detail-oriented with outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

• Excellent time-management skills with the capacity to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, OneNote, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.

• Familiarity with or eagerness to learn AMA style and reference management tools like EndNote.

• Previous experience in medical writing is advantageous but not mandatory.
