This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.
• Ensure that all providers within UVMHN Medical Staff fulfill the necessary requirements for maintaining appropriate documentation regarding membership and privileges.
• Monitor and track continuing medical education (CME), immunizations, compliance training, medical staff dues, specialty certifications for privileging, and health examinations.
• Guarantee that providers are current and comply with regulatory standards, state regulations, and established policies.
• Uphold the integrity and quality of the medical staff through diligent compliance oversight.
• An Associate’s degree in business or a healthcare-related field is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare administrative support or the provider data field.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
• Experience with credentialing, privileging, and/or medical staff services, including a solid understanding of Joint Commission standards, CMS requirements, and relevant Federal and State regulations.
• Experience collaborating with physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Familiarity with provider management software systems, particularly in relation to medical staff data and/or credentialing.
