This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Working under the supervision of the Line Manager, the Medical Science Manager (MSM) leads the execution of the Country medical affairs strategy, focusing primarily on KOL engagement, support for scientific data generation, and dissemination of data.
• By facilitating compliant scientific exchanges, the MSM cultivates and sustains professional relationships with external stakeholders to enhance Sobi’s research, advisory, and educational collaboration opportunities.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism to establish and nurture “peer-to-peer” scientific relationships with key opinion leaders in healthcare, academia, payers, and government entities as per strategic territorial plans and upon KOL requests, including managing strategic scientific partnerships and exchanges.
• Offer scientific liaison support to Investigators participating in Sobi’s studies, which include both company-sponsored interventional or non-interventional studies and investigator-initiated research.
• Engage in KOL engagement planning, manage KOL plans, and promptly update the medical customer relationship management system (CRM) in an accurate and compliant manner.
• Act as a liaison between healthcare practitioners (HCPs) and Sobi’s medical affairs team.
• Aid in effective and compliant data dissemination in alignment with the country medical affairs strategy.
• Ensure appropriate scientific exchanges with HCPs by promoting fair and balanced medical and scientific communications that are not misleading.
• Deliver clinical and disease-related information to diverse audiences (KOLs, HCPs, hospital/decision-making teams, etc.) upon request and/or as outlined in country medical plans.
• Facilitate data dissemination at congresses, seminars, and workshops in accordance with country medical plans.
• May participate in addressing unsolicited medical inquiries from HCPs and other stakeholders within defined timelines and quality standards, as referred to Medical Affairs by other Sobi functions.
• Provide therapeutic training for Sales and Medical colleagues upon request.
• Relay key medical insights from KOLs/HCPs to guide the refinement of medical strategies or tactics.
• Offer field-based medical support for Sobi’s clinical research programs, registries, and assist in the investigator-initiated research process.
• A university degree in a medical-science field or another related and relevant discipline.
• Proven scientific/medical reading, presentation, and communication skills.
• Experience in both pre-launch and launch activities.
• A robust history of engagement with KOL networks both locally and internationally.
• Experience in multi-stakeholder project management and leadership, with a demonstrated ability to achieve results on time and within budget.
• Understanding of health systems and healthcare decision-making, including the regulatory, safety, legal, and compliance landscape.
• Strong customer orientation with a science-based approach, business acumen, and negotiation skills.
• Exemplary levels of personal integrity, with a firm commitment to adhere to all rules, regulations, Standard Operating Procedures, and the Sobi values and ethics, ensuring compliance with all applicable rules and regulations.
• Frequent travel is necessary, with availability to travel approximately 40% of the time, primarily domestically.
• Willingness to attend meetings on holidays and weekends with prior notice.
• Possession of a clean and valid driver’s license.
• Proficient computer skills (MS Office, databases, etc.) and fluency in written and spoken English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
