This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Establish, cultivate, and sustain collaborative relationships with existing and prospective Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare stakeholders in disease areas that are strategically significant to Phathom.
• Deliver clinical presentations and information in response to unsolicited inquiries (as applicable) in academic, community, and healthcare provider environments, both in group and individual settings.
• Partner with the Clinical organization to boost patient enrollment in Phathom-sponsored clinical trials by identifying suitable trial sites and engaging with investigators involved in ongoing research.
• Serve as the main point of contact for investigators interested in initiating and conducting investigator-initiated research.
• Create and implement territory plans that align with strategic regional and national action plans.
• Assist in the assessment of market landscape and competitive intelligence, including therapeutic trends and unmet needs within relevant disease states and the market. Provide timely insights on emerging clinical/scientific information and opportunities to internal stakeholders.
• Regularly gather insights from KOLs, healthcare providers (HCPs), and clinical trial investigators, sharing feedback with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Offer scientific support at medical congresses.
• Willingness to travel extensively across a broad geographical area may be necessary.
• This position necessitates the ability to drive within a designated territory by car (and in certain areas, to travel by airplane).
• An advanced degree in life sciences (e.g., MD, PharmD, PhD, DNP, PA-C, MSN) is required.
• Previous or current involvement in a Medical Affairs Fellowship or Internship is preferred; MSL experience is also favored.
• Strongly preferred is prior work experience in pharmaceutical medical affairs or as a healthcare provider.
• Experience with product launches is preferred.
• Therapeutic area expertise in GI is preferred.
• Familiarity with PhRMA, AGA, and other pertinent guidelines is essential.
• A solid understanding of the clinical development process and ICH-GCP guidelines is required.
• Proven ability to uphold scientific credibility while providing commercial support.
