This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a field-based scientific authority, facilitating engagement with healthcare professionals, investigators, treatment centers, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) focused on autoimmune diseases and cell therapy.
• Identify, establish, and nurture high-quality scientific relationships with KOLs, investigators, academic medical centers, community physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and treatment centers within the designated territory.
• Serve as a reliable scientific partner by delivering fair-balanced, accurate, and compliant scientific exchanges regarding disease states, treatment landscapes, Kyverna’s CAR-T programs, and emerging clinical data.
• Function as the primary scientific liaison for investigators interested in clinical research collaborations and discussions about investigator-initiated research.
• Develop and implement geography-specific Medical Affairs and KOL engagement strategies that align with therapeutic area objectives, investigator needs, and Kyverna’s medical strategy.
• Exhibit ownership of the assigned territory through stakeholder mapping, prioritization, and proactive planning.
• Collaborate with Clinical Development and Clinical Operations to support Kyverna-sponsored clinical trials.
• Capture and relay timely, high-quality medical insights related to the autoimmune and cell therapy landscape to internal stakeholders to aid in strategy and evidence planning.
• Provide scientific support at national, regional, and local congresses, advisory boards, investigator meetings, and medical education forums.
• An advanced scientific or clinical degree is required (MD, PharmD, PhD, DNP, NP, PA, or equivalent).
• For Medical Science Liaison (MSL) positions, a Doctorate degree is required OR a Master’s degree with 3 years of Medical Affairs experience.
• For Senior Medical Science Liaison (Senior MSL) roles, a Doctorate degree along with 2 years of Medical Affairs experience OR a Master’s degree with 6 years of Medical Affairs experience is required.
• Prior experience in cell therapy, CAR-T, immunology, rheumatology, nephrology, neurology, hematology/oncology, or rare diseases is highly preferred.
• A strong understanding of clinical trial design, clinical development, and medical affairs functions is essential.
• Experience engaging with academic medical centers, specialty treatment centers, and/or infusion centers is preferred.
• Ability to interpret and convey complex scientific and clinical information to diverse audiences is necessary.
• Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
• Proven ability to build robust external relationships and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams is essential.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth biotechnology environment.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the assigned geography.
• Experience supporting pre-commercial or launch-stage biotechnology organizations is a plus.
• Knowledge of autoimmune disease treatment landscapes and emerging cell therapy methodologies is beneficial.
• Experience in supporting investigator-sponsored research and clinical trial recruitment initiatives is advantageous.
• Familiarity with cell therapy operational concepts, including chain of identity, chain of custody, and treatment center workflows, is important.
