This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +3 more states.
• Act as a field-based, customer-facing, non-promotional medical and scientific authority in HIV treatment and prevention throughout the Pacific Northwest region.
• Enhance clinical practices to improve patient outcomes.
• Address medical and scientific inquiries, providing clinical expertise to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Establish, cultivate, and sustain relationships with external experts, researchers, healthcare professionals, investigators, societies, advocacy groups, and formulary decision-makers.
• Create strategic territory plans and promote scientific discussions and collaborations.
• Discuss emerging data, clinical trials, barriers in the patient journey, market dynamics, unmet medical needs, pipeline developments, disease states, products, adverse events, and medical insights.
• Collect and communicate field insights to guide product development, clinical trial designs, and market strategies.
• Provide feedback regarding ViiV products and services.
• Create and deliver scientific presentations and training sessions for healthcare professionals and internal teams.
• Support the development of educational materials and scientific training for colleagues.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies, while accurately maintaining interaction records.
• Mentor and coach new or less experienced MSLs while leading scientific or strategic projects.
• Distribute critical safety information as directed by Medical Affairs or Research and Development.
• Support GSK and Investigator Sponsored Studies, collaborating with Clinical Teams to enhance site performance.
• Attend national and regional scientific/medical conferences.
• Collaborate with matrix stakeholders embodying a One-ViiV mindset.
• Complete training, CRM administration, expense reports, customer profiling, and other related tasks punctually.
• Advanced degree: MD, DO, PharmD, PhD, or APP.
• Over 3 years of clinical experience in HIV or Infectious Disease.
• Experience in stakeholder management.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Willingness to travel 40–60% of the time.
• Strong foundation in clinical, medical, and pharmaceutical sciences.
• Ability to quickly assimilate specific and detailed scientific and medical information.
• Experience in evaluating and conveying evidence-based medicine.
• Excellent scientific communication and presentation skills.
• Proven leadership skills and experience, including business acumen, stakeholder management, and successful project involvement and completion.
• Experience in mentoring fellow MSLs and leading complex field-based medical initiatives.
• Participation in and representation of field-based medical on internal cross-functional teams.
• Contribution to strategic planning and development of team objectives.
• Ability to engage effectively in both one-on-one and group settings.
