This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Build and sustain relationships with academic and community research leaders, relevant healthcare professionals (HCPs), and access stakeholders within the designated area.
• Address scientific inquiries, unsolicited product questions, and Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR)-related topics via one-on-one interactions, group presentations, and remote engagements.
• Utilize scientific resources and presentations to deliver medically accurate and compliant information.
• Deliver presentations to thought leaders and healthcare providers while addressing their questions.
• Evaluate the medical landscape to comprehend stakeholder needs and expertise.
• Stay informed about treatment strategies, products, unmet medical needs, clinical trials, HEOR, and scientific activities.
• Understand the competitive environment and evolving healthcare models.
• Identify opportunities for initiatives related to disease states, collaborative research, and investigator-sponsored research.
• Participate in medical congresses and local/regional meetings.
• Gather and relay significant medical insights to medical and commercial teams.
• Create geography-specific Field Medical and Thought Leader Interaction strategies.
• Contribute to institutional/account plans and scientifically relevant medical programs/projects.
• Collaborate with cross-matrix field teams within the assigned territory.
• Provide medical/scientific and product-specific training, along with scientific updates to internal stakeholders.
• Offer scientific support during promotional meetings and assess speakers.
• Engage in designated congress activities.
• Assist with interventional and non-interventional research studies, including identifying and evaluating potential study sites.
• Provide insights on study and site feasibility to clinical development teams.
• Support HCPs with investigator-sponsored research submissions, execution, and follow-up.
• Ensure pharmacovigilance procedures are known and implemented, alerting BMS personnel to adverse events.
• Support CRO-sponsored studies as coordinated with home office medical and Global Development Operations.
• MD, PharmD, PhD, APP, PA, or NP with experience in a specific disease area or a broad medical background complemented by relevant pharmaceutical experience.
• Knowledge of the disease area and an understanding of scientific literature.
• Familiarity with a scientific or clinical domain, competitive landscape, and patient treatment trends.
• Understanding of clinical trial design and processes.
• Awareness of the national healthcare and access landscape.
• Proficiency in HEOR core concepts.
• Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written.
• At least 2 years of experience in a clinical and/or pharmaceutical setting.
• Previous experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL).
• Capability to work independently while also being a collaborative team member.
• Ability to translate scientific or clinical data into understandable and valuable formats.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for sharing scientific and/or clinical data with research or healthcare professionals.
• Skill in developing peer-to-peer relationships with thought leaders, scientists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Capacity to quickly and thoroughly learn about new subject areas and environments.
• Demonstration of BMS Values.
