This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop and sustain scientific relationships with oncology healthcare providers and key opinion leaders (KOLs) within a designated territory.
• Provide precise, balanced, and clinically relevant education regarding Natera’s oncology molecular diagnostics and clinical data.
• Rapidly implement territory strategy and adapt as Medical Affairs priorities evolve.
• Identify and relay field insights, encompassing oncology treatment trends, unmet clinical needs, and competitive dynamics.
• Address unsolicited medical inquiries promptly, compliantly, and with scientific rigor.
• Assist in the execution of Medical Affairs initiatives, such as advisory boards and medical education programs.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on oncology disease states, clinical data, and the broader diagnostics landscape.
• Collaborate closely with commercial and clinical teams to enhance patient care while upholding scientific integrity.
• Take personal responsibility for adhering to healthcare regulations and internal standards in all activities.
• Facilitate and coordinate clinical trial and research initiatives at academic institutions and regional study sites.
• Diligently track territory engagement and document actionable clinical insights.
• Travel extensively (over 60%) throughout the territory for clinical engagement and conferences.
• An advanced healthcare or scientific degree is preferred (Ph.D., Pharm.D., M.D., D.N.P.), with a minimum of a Master's degree required.
• Previous experience in Medical Affairs or as an MSL in oncology or molecular diagnostics is preferred.
• Must reside within the assigned Northern California territory.
• Possess technical expertise and research capabilities to clearly communicate complex genetic testing data and clinical products to oncology specialists.
• Demonstrated experience in establishing robust, collaborative working relationships with both internal teams and external customers.
• Ability to work independently and remotely while fostering a strong team-oriented work ethic.
• Effectively navigate ambiguity and proactively create structure and processes where they do not currently exist.
• Utilize clear and straightforward language to communicate clinical evidence effectively, avoiding excessive jargon.
• Display flexibility and the ability to quickly adjust to unexpected clinical tasks or shifts in strategy.
• Exhibit a high level of personal accountability, ownership, and sound scientific judgment.
