Medical School Admissions Consultant – Resident Physician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with aspiring medical school candidates and pre-med students to help them discover opportunities for enhancing their profiles and crafting effective medical school application documents.

• Cultivate relationships with applicants and their families, offering strategic and tactical advice on medical school choices, essay writing, resumes, letters of recommendation, interviews, and the entire medical school admissions journey.

• Identify the most suitable medical programs and schools for each student; provide constructive feedback and guidance on their research regarding university programs and relevant admissions resources, ensuring alignment with their backgrounds and career aspirations.

• Assist students with project planning, management of application timelines, and tracking progress using internal organizational tools.

• Remain informed about the medical school admissions landscape, including program prerequisites and admission criteria, to counsel both prospective and current clients on suitable school selections and the intricacies of the application process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a residency program (MD or DO).

• Graduated from an accredited U.S. medical school.

• Prior experience on a medical school admissions committee, including application reviews and participation in acceptance and rejection decisions.

• A strong enthusiasm for mentoring and coaching pre-med students.

• Excellent planning and organizational abilities.

• Proficient English reading, writing, and editing skills, specifically for medical school essays and personal statements.

• Strong verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency in project management and applicant tracking.

• Experience in education, coaching, tutoring, or mentoring students.
