This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Arrange appointments for medical procedures considering physician availability, patient preferences, and medical facility resources.
• Engage with patients to confirm appointments, offer essential information, and resolve any inquiries or concerns.
• Keep accurate and current schedules for physicians, medical personnel, and facilities.
• Work in conjunction with medical staff to ensure the availability of all necessary equipment and resources for scheduled procedures.
• Oversee and manage cancellations and rescheduling requests, ensuring that all modifications are communicated and documented correctly.
• Check insurance information and obtain necessary authorizations for procedures as required.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations at all times.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to patients, addressing any issues or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Support administrative duties such as data entry, filing, and record keeping as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or a related field is preferred.
• Prior experience as a medical scheduler or in a similar position is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication and customer service abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
