This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Reach out to medical providers to obtain information and updated medical records.
• Handle incoming calls from providers and the Social Security Administration (SSA).
• Proactively follow up with providers regarding outstanding records requests that are past due.
• Contact providers for urgent records requests to expedite the process.
• Review, approve, or reject invoices related to medical records.
• Submit medical records to the Office of Disability Adjudication and Review (ODAR).
• Uphold exceptional customer service skills in all professional interactions.
• Ensure client confidentiality is maintained at all times.
• Exercise sound judgment to identify urgent issues that may require immediate attention from a manager or director.
• High School Diploma is required.
• Some college education, technical training, or relevant experience is preferred.
• Experience in customer service is necessary.
• A minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute is required.
• A background in Social Security Disability Law or other disability/medical fields is strongly preferred.
• Excellent telephone etiquette, communication, and active listening skills are essential.
• Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
• Professional demeanor, high energy levels, and a positive attitude are essential.
• Skills in multitasking and the ability to perform well under pressure are required.
• Reliability and dependability are crucial.
• Strong problem analysis and problem-solving abilities are necessary.
• Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality at all times.
• Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
• Previous experience working from home is preferred.
