This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.
• Collaborate with the Cancer Care Leadership team to guarantee the high-quality and safe interpretation, execution, operation, and monitoring of radiation safety policies, procedures, standards, and equipment.
• Ensure the provision of top-notch radiation therapy.
• Equip staff with the necessary education and training.
• Provide oversight to reduce radiation exposure.
• Implement and adhere to Customer Service Standards.
• Support and enforce patient safety and other safety practices.
• Showcase Family-Centered Care principles when engaging with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Travel to new installations to commission linear accelerators and treatment planning systems.
• Assist in oncology solution delivery and clinical implementation across radiation treatment sites.
• A Master’s or PhD in Medical Physics or a closely related discipline is required for the specified roles.
• For the Clinical Transition and Implementation Physicist position: a minimum of 2 years of post-graduate physics experience in a similar-sized program is necessary.
• For Medical Physicist roles: at least 2 years of clinical experience in addition to a CAMPEP-accredited residency is required.
• For Senior Medical Physicist roles: a minimum of 3+ years of clinical experience alongside a CAMPEP-accredited residency is necessary.
• For commissioning roles: at least 10 years of experience in a Clinical Medical Physics position is required.
• Certification in Radiation Oncology Physics by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or an equivalent certifying body is mandatory for relevant roles; some listings indicate that certification is preferred.
• Candidates not certified for specified positions must be eligible for board certification and achieve certification within 3 years of hiring.
• Experience with computerized treatment planning and similar computerized simulator/accelerator is required for the Clinical Transition and Implementation role.
• Familiarity with clinical radiation oncology platforms, including linear accelerators, surface guidance, EMR and R&V systems, HDR afterloaders, treatment planning systems, ion chambers, electrometers, and image analysis software is essential.
• Experience with High Dose Rate (HDR) and Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) programs is preferred for applicable roles.
• Computer system administration experience with patient record and verification database applications is desirable for relevant roles.
• Ability to work with controlled technology in compliance with US export control law is required.
• Up to 50% travel may be required for the Clinical Transition and Implementation role; 50–75% travel is necessary for the Commissioning role.
