Medical Laboratory Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

📋 Description

• Oversees the laboratory library which includes lab IDs, lab tests, units for lab tests, Standard Interventional unit conversions, unit conversion formulas, textbook reference ranges, lab test queries, and lab test codes.

• Manages lab IDs and refreshes normal reference ranges across various databases.

• Evaluates lab slips and documents for standard reference ranges for all necessary protocol lab tests to establish new lab IDs in the Clinical Data Management System (CDMS).

• Assesses and authorizes new lab test queries for inclusion in the CDMS.

• Reviews and supplies lab test codes for all newly introduced lab tests.

• Assists with mapping for CDISC Controlled Terminology.

• Contributes to the creation of guidance documents to aid sites in gathering thorough and precise Normal Reference range documents.

• Offers guidance regarding missing reference range documents, Note to File, and requests for textbook reference ranges.

• Aids in the formulation and revision of all lab-related SOP documents and guidelines.

• Carries out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or its international equivalent from an accredited institution, ideally in a clinical, biological, or health-related discipline, or a comparable combination of education, training, and experience.

• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience managing lab data and/or lab data standard libraries, having worked in a hospital or clinical lab environment, or interpreting patient lab results. Alternatively, must demonstrate proven experience in all primary job responsibilities.

• Strong analytical and organizational skills, capable of working independently while managing multiple projects concurrently in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.

• Exhibits exceptional English verbal and written communication abilities.

• Demonstrated capacity to enhance customer experience through positive interactions, provision of quality and timely deliverables, and ownership of tasks.
