This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Verify the eligibility of patient insurance and confirm active coverage.
• Perform checks on insurance benefits.
• Professionally handle and respond to incoming patient calls.
• Manage calls using the WEAVE phone system.
• Assist patients with general inquiries and front-office requirements.
• Adapt to RingCentral or any other phone system that may be implemented.
• Utilize AdvancedMD to facilitate patient and administrative workflows.
• Update and keep patient information accurate and up to date.
• Maintain and revise patient medical records.
• Ensure that patient information is entered with precision.
• Safeguard sensitive patient data in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Support daily medical front-office tasks.
• Organize patient and insurance information efficiently.
• Collaborate with the practice team via Microsoft Teams.
• Significant experience in healthcare or a medical office is essential.
• Direct experience in verifying insurance eligibility and benefits is mandatory.
• Familiarity with AdvancedMD is highly desirable.
• Experience in managing patient calls and assisting with medical front-office operations is strongly preferred.
• Prior experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant is favorable.
• Knowledge of WEAVE, RingCentral, or similar healthcare phone/VoIP systems is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of insurance eligibility and benefits verification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Professional and self-assured phone demeanor.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational capabilities.
• Reliable, dependable, and consistent in performance.
• Comfortable working independently in a dedicated VA role.
• Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn new healthcare platforms.
• Trained in HIPAA and comfortable managing confidential patient information.
• Ability to consistently adhere to established healthcare workflows and procedures.
• Must be able to communicate in English clearly and professionally.
• Relevant work experience is required.
• Must be able to provide an NBI Clearance and/or Local Police Clearance prior to onboarding.
• Availability to attend video meetings with the camera on as needed.
• Possess a reliable laptop or desktop computer.
• Maintain a stable high-speed internet connection, with a minimum of 25 Mbps.
• Have a noise-canceling headset.
• A working webcam for virtual meetings is necessary.
• A quiet and professional workspace is required.
