Medical Director – Sleep Medicine

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform time-sensitive, specialized evidence-based medical case evaluations for medical necessity utilizing EviCore’s case management software.

• Engage in physician consultation (peer-to-peer) discussions with referring providers.

• Review and discuss the evidence-based medical necessity and appropriateness of requested services or treatments.

• Suggest alternative services or treatments when deemed necessary.

• Collaborate with over 500 physician colleagues at EviCore to promote evidence-based patient care.

• Keep abreast of healthcare regulations and industry advancements.

• Complete structured remote training with trainers, mentors, and leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. with an active, current U.S. medical license.

• Board certification (ABMS or AOA) in Sleep Medicine.

• Eligible to obtain additional state licensure as necessary.

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience following residency or fellowship.

• Familiarity with applicable state and federal laws, URAC, and NCQA standards is advantageous.

• Ability to adhere to a consistent Monday-through-Friday work schedule.

• Proficient computer skills and capacity to work independently with automated processes, applications, and systems.

• Capability to type, speak, and listen continuously.

• Company-provided encrypted workstation hard-wired to a modem or router; wireless connections are not allowed.

• Cable broadband or fiber optic internet service with a minimum of 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload speed.
