This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland, +2 more states.
• Execute strategic and tactical medical planning leveraging neuroscience expertise, particularly in dementia, while incorporating oncology experience as applicable.
• Collaborate across functions with Medical Affairs, branding, patient outcomes/real-world evidence, pricing, reimbursement and access, and clinical teams.
• Offer medical insights for pricing, reimbursement, access, commercialization efforts, payer relationships, and defending product value.
• Aid in the development and approval of promotional materials and provide training for sales representatives and medical staff.
• Build relationships with scientific experts, thought leaders, healthcare professionals, and professional societies.
• Act as the scientific authority on Lilly's neuroscience and pertinent oncology products.
• Assist with medical information, dissemination of scientific data, speaker training, advisory boards, HCP meetings, congresses, publications, and clinical trial registry reporting.
• Convey country or regional clinical necessities in clinical strategies, development plans, and protocol design.
• Review and sanction informed consent documents, risk profiles, IIT proposals, publications, local labeling, and clinical trial operations.
• Provide medical insight to regulatory scientists and advisory committees.
• Assess clinical practice trends, access patterns, medical literature, and competitive product data.
• Function as a scientific consultant and protocol specialist for clinical study teams.
• Guide and lead both internal and external teams while managing medical budgets.
• Engage in travel to customers, meetings, and congresses domestically and internationally; 30%+ travel may be necessary.
• Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy / MBChB/MBBS with national-council registration required.
• Board-eligible or certified in a specialty pertinent to neuroscience or oncology, or equivalent post-medical school clinical training relevant to the hiring country.
• Medical education must be completed at an institution listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools or an equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in Medical Affairs.
• Required clinical and/or research experience in neuroscience, particularly focused on dementia.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, is mandatory.
• Fluency in Spanish is a significant advantage; additional regional languages are beneficial.
• Preferred knowledge of the drug development process relevant to the country or region.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and negotiation skills are essential.
• Demonstrated therapeutic-area leadership across various geographies.
• Capability to lead and provide clear guidance to both internal and external teams.
• Strong skills in planning, execution, and people management.
• Ability to interpret technical and scientific data and convey it with credibility.
• Good presentation abilities are required.
• Experience managing medical budgets is necessary.
• Proven track record of teamwork in a cross-functional setting.
• Willingness to travel to customers, meetings, and congresses both locally and internationally; 30%+ travel may be required.
• Availability to work in EMEA locations aligned with Alliances operating hours.
