This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Offer scientific and medical guidance alongside actionable recommendations.
• Integrate clinical, medical, and scientific relevance into the strategic and tactical approaches for clients' brands.
• Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of clients' products, including mechanisms, clinical data, competitive advantages, treated conditions, disease mechanisms, epidemiology, care standards, and prescriber information.
• Extract actionable insights in collaboration with senior Medical staff.
• Work together with senior Medical staff, client services, strategic services, and creative teams.
• Educate junior agency staff on product mechanisms.
• Engage with clients and conduct interviews with external professionals.
• Maintain an expert-level understanding of clients' and competitors' approved Prescribing Information.
• Keep abreast of disease categories through current publications and labeling updates.
• Identify actionable scientific and clinical insights to inform medical strategy.
• Assist in the development of market research plans and insight-gathering initiatives.
• Brief creative teams and supervise creative outputs to ensure alignment with medical/clinical insights and strategies.
• Provide medical and scientific direction for projects, including relevant datasets and recommendations for copy and visual data.
• Evaluate content for medical and scientific accuracy.
• Deliver ongoing training and educational support for internal staff.
• Assist senior Medical staff in pursuing new business opportunities.
• Contribute to the agency's thought leadership initiatives.
• Report to the Senior Vice President of Medical Strategy.
• Advanced degree in life sciences is preferred: PhD or MD; a PharmD may also be considered.
• At least 4 years of experience within a healthcare communications agency, medical education, medical communications firm, or pharmaceutical manufacturer.
• Proficient in translating scientific or clinical data into effective presentation formats.
• Experience in presenting scientific or clinical findings to diverse audiences in live settings.
• Proven experience interacting with leading researchers and professionals in the biomedical and pharmaceutical fields.
• Authorship in peer-reviewed publications or presenting abstracts at significant scientific or medical conferences is preferred.
• Exceptional written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong understanding of biochemical mechanisms, clinical research, and statistical analysis.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical marketing practices and promotional compliance.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
