📋 Description

• Precisely assign CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes for surgical services, with an emphasis on Evaluation and Management encounters and related services.

• Examine medical documentation to ensure adherence to coding compliance with both regulatory and organizational standards.

• Work in conjunction with healthcare providers and coding auditors to address any coding discrepancies or documentation challenges.

• Stay current with coding practices, regulations, and industry developments to maintain accurate and timely coding.

• Assist internal teams by offering coding insights, education, and training on best practices pertaining to professional services coding.

• Identify and relay potential compliance risks or opportunities for enhancement in coding procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Certification as a Professional Coder (CPC) or an equivalent certification (such as CCS-P, COC) is mandatory.

• Demonstrated experience in professional services coding, especially in the fields of Neurosurgery and Spine Surgery, as well as Evaluation and Management coding.

• Comprehensive understanding of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding guidelines, along with regulatory requirements related to professional services.

• Skilled in utilizing coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail when reviewing medical documentation.

• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
