Medical Billing Team Leader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Acquire knowledge of new client systems and effectively disseminate that knowledge to team members.

• Supervise the assigned team, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of all outputs.

• Mentor team members and enhance their professional skills.

• Support the Supervisor, Assistant Manager, or Manager in steering the team towards achieving company objectives.

• Guarantee adherence to company policies and procedures.

• Resolve conflicts arising within the team.

• Prepare precise medical insurance claims and ensure they are submitted promptly.

• Address claim denials through resubmission or appeals as necessary.

• Develop and implement strategies aimed at reducing claim denials.

• Understand and apply billing requirements specific to specialties, states, and carriers.

⛳️ Requirements

• A graduate of any allied medical course (such as Nursing, PT, MedTech, etc.) is preferred, though not mandatory.

• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in medical billing, ideally with US healthcare accounts.

• Prior leadership or supervisory experience within a medical billing team is advantageous.

• Comprehensive understanding of medical insurance claims processing, including submissions, denials, and appeals.

• Experience in analyzing and resolving claim denials and executing strategies to minimize them.

• Strong skills in coaching, mentoring, and managing teams effectively.

• Capability to oversee team performance and ensure timely and accurate deliverables.

• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities.

• Outstanding communication and coordination skills.

• Must be able to work from home with a dependable internet connection and a backup option.
