Medical Billing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Confirm patient eligibility and benefits.

• Record charges, payments, and ERA adjustments.

• Prepare, review, and submit both electronic and paper claims.

• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and handle appeals.

• Examine patient bills for accuracy and establish payment plans when necessary.

• Engage with patients, clients, and insurance carriers in a professional manner.

• Maintain cash spreadsheets and generate monthly reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in medical billing and accounts receivable follow-up.

• CPB, CPC, or a similar credential is advantageous.

• Strong familiarity with billing software such as eClinical, Athena, Open PM, MicroMD, or comparable systems.

• Proficient in Word, Excel, and navigating carrier websites for eligibility and claims.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Must successfully complete a baseline billing test during the interview process.
