Medical Biller/Claims Processing – Patient Support Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Receive medical claims from healthcare providers or patients and verify that all necessary supporting documentation is included.

• Interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and CMS-1500 forms accurately.

• Assess claims against program-specific business rules to determine whether they should be approved or rejected.

• Manage daily tasks effectively and prioritize workload accordingly.

• Assist customers with inquiries through phone, email, fax, or other communication methods.

• Identify operational issues and propose solutions to management as necessary.

• Comply with HIPAA regulations.

• Achieve daily productivity and quota goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or its equivalent is required.

• Completion of a Medical Billing Program, Medical Billing degree, or possession of a Certified Medical Billing license is required.

• Experience in claims processing is required.

• Ability to interpret EOBs is required.

• Experience with insurance verification is required.

• Experience with payment postings is required.

• Call center and customer service experience (including inbound/outbound calls) is required.

• Revenue cycle experience is preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) is preferred.

• Experience with secondary and tertiary billing is preferred.

• Familiarity with complex insurance scenarios is preferred.

• Experience with multi-layered billing processes is preferred.

• Ability to work 40 hours per week with moderate supervision is required.

• Ability to comply with HIPAA regulations is required.

• Ability to meet daily productivity and quota expectations is required.
