Medical Biller

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Accurately process and submit medical claims in a timely manner

• Appropriately assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes

• Evaluate documentation to ensure coding compliance

• Pursue follow-ups on denied or unpaid claims as necessary

• Engage in communication with providers, payers, or clients when required

• Uphold HIPAA compliance and adhere to data security standards

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred: Background in medical billing, coding, or claim processing

• Knowledge of EHR or billing software

• Exceptional attention to detail and precision

• Basic understanding of insurance guidelines and terminology

• Certifications such as CPC or CBCS are advantageous

• Highly motivated entry-level applicants without prior experience may be considered

• Capability to work as an independent contractor (1099)

• Awareness of HIPAA compliance and data security
