Medical Assistant – Virtual Cardiac Rehab, RPM/CCM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Conduct daily reviews of the RPM vitals dashboard and respond to abnormal blood pressure, heart rate, weight fluctuations, and any missed readings.

• Promptly reach out to patients regarding abnormal vitals and escalate urgent issues to the care manager.

• Record asynchronous CCM time in eClinicalWorks for billable care coordination tasks.

• Ensure documentation is audit-ready and aligns with CMS billing standards.

• Facilitate the weekly virtual cardiac exercise class, ensuring patient safety while assisting the lead instructor.

• Track class attendance and generate group visit notes in eClinicalWorks.

• Supervise AI-assisted patient onboarding processes and confirm their accuracy.

• Prepare patient charts in eClinicalWorks, encompassing medications, allergies, medical history, vitals, care plan activation, and RPM device setup.

• Manage device inventory, coordinate reorders, and verify RPM device connectivity for new patients.

• Assist the care delivery team and maintain organized clinical operations within eClinicalWorks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent).

• At least 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical, telehealth, or care management environment.

• Required proficiency and prior experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW).

• Familiarity with CCM, RPM, or programs related to chronic disease management.

• Experience in cardiology, cardiac rehabilitation, or telehealth focused on cardiac care is highly advantageous.

• Preference for candidates with knowledge of CCM/RPM CPT coding (99490, 99439, 99457, 99458, etc.).

• Bilingual skills are a plus.

• Capability to recognize abnormal vital sign trends and missed readings.

• Ability to operate independently and maintain organization in a fully remote setting.
